19th C. Japanese Trunk

This impressive early 19th century Japanese trunk is made of Kiri Wood with hand forged iron fittings, hinges, handles and lock. The trunk sits on two wooden runners.  

Japan, circa 1830's

19.5 H X 40.5" W X 22.5" D

Materials and Techniques: Kiri Wood, Hand Forged Iron.

Condition: This piece may have very minor shrinkage, rubbing, cracking, surface oxidization, as is normally found with an item of this age.
