Tree Cross Section Table with Iron Base

The table top of this astoundingly beautiful piece is the cross section of an approximately hundred year old tree (you can count the rings!) that has been fixed to caste iron pedestal. This unique table has a 2 1/4" thick wooden top surface which is centrally mounted onto a cast iron pedestal circa 1900 from the Chicago Hardware Foundry Company.

Materials and Techniques: Wood, Caste Iron. 

Condition: Good condition. Butterfly splices strengthen the cross section of the top surface which tends to slightly dip from the center to the outer edges. Clean and polished iron pedestal. Ready for installation and use.
