Folk Art Paddle Boat 'Arthur' of Paducah, KY

This folk art paddleboat from the 1920’s has incredible articulated details throughout. The boat is named “Arthur” and hails from Paducah, KY. The paddle turns, the top deck has fabric sacks of grain and bails of cotton, the buoys are moveable, and the barrels have separate lids. the whistle the on top is made of brass, the smoke stacks are made of metal anchored by wire. There are two life boats hanging from chording. The boat sits on a custom made steel stand.

48" H X 41" W X 8.5" D

Materials and Techniques: Wood, paint, metal, cloth, string, wire, brass and steel.

Condition: Good Condition for a folk art piece of it’s age, has some minor losses and wear. Please see pictures for details.
