This carved oak bible box has a nice front panel with flora and fauna decorative elements. The piece has indications of it's age including hand made nails and large old growth boards. The lock has worn away from the inside and the hinges were replaced at some point. There are signs of repairs as upkeep due to it's ongoing use over the centuries.
