Pair of Victorian Gas Lamp Lanterns

Just the sort of delightful item that will make an impression on any setting. This pair of 19th century brass gas lamp lanterns were manufactured by and carry the mark of Davey & CO London LTD. These were originally made as ship cabin lanterns with vented top, hinged door, bevelled glass panes and hoisting handle and mounted fittings on the back. Originally used with paraffin gas.

Dimensions: 18" H x 7.5" W x 7.25" D

Materials and Techniques: Brass, Wick, Glass.

Condition: Good condition. Usual signs indicating age and wear normal for an older item including minor; rubbing and surface oxidization. Ready for installation and use.
